Daniel's Plan for the Alumni Association

Educate alumni on the power of the "Pirate Network". There are Hamptonians in all walks of life that are in position to assist their fellow Pirates. I have learned so much and benefited from spending time with members of our Emeritus Class.

Hamptonians to make a greater impact in our local communities, regions and the nation at large.

alumni to be Ambassadors for our beloved "Home by the Sea". We want the world to know that Hampton has and continues to set the Standard of Excellence.

The Book of Daniel

Early Years

Daniel was the only child of a Chicago Public School teacher who instilled in him early in life that "service is our payment for being granted life here on earth".

The Hampton Years

As a student at Hampton, Daniel was involved in numerous campus activities including Peer Counselors, Student Rectuitment Team and the Pre-Alumni Council. The Pre-Alumni Council involvement was where Daniel's passion for working with the Alumni was born.

Daniel is married to fellow Hamptonian, Keely Hicks Wilson and they have a 5 year old son, Rutherford Ernest. Daniel has served the alumni association as  President of the Washington, DC Chapter and 1st Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region. In 2006, Daniel was hired as the Director of Alumni Affairs. In recent years, Daniel has served the Washington, DC Chapter as the Emeritus Class Liaison. Daniel is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.,
